Many people often ask how animations like Madness Combat are made. No, it's not sweatshop-labor. It's Flash, by Macromedia/Adobe.
You can get a free 30 day trial at www.flash.com. After that, you need to pay for the full version or stop using flash. Adobe spent alot of time and money making sure you can't steal it, so don't bother asking. Discussion of stealing it isn't allowed here.
When you get Flash, right click on the timeline on the top of your new flash project. It will allow you to make frames and keyframes. These are important. You can learn to use the tools and make your own animations!
Well, Krinkels did post it on his website. Besides, didn't you notice NG page names like "Flash Portal" and stuff like "submit your Flashes" and "Flash artists"?
Well, i'm quite new to this website and i haven't visited Newgrounds for a long time, because i live in china now and i think u can't view the page here. But I got it working now.
Even though CS3 is the latest, you're probally better off with the previous version, 8. Its much cheaper, and the only huge differences have to do with actionscript, which isn't a big deal for a madness animator.
For some reason, if you try looking for Flash 8, there's an 80% chance that you'll be redirected to CS3. Also, it takes a much longer time to download CS3, and it's harder to crack, lol.
Is it just me that has flash 8 crash, constantly? If you accidentally miss a button on the tool bar and hit the space between it crashes and gives you that horrid error report thingy that makes me just want to cry because if you forgot to save it IT ALL GOES TO FUCKING HELL!
Plus it just laggs so much sometimes. Like, what you draw appears a few seconds after you made the brush stroke. I got flash 8 for 3 quid^^
I don't know or care what quid are, but 3 doesn't sound like a lot. Sounds like you got a crappy cracked version, because the real version doesn't crash for hitting a wrong button or whatever.
Or maybe your computer just sucks :v Most people use Flash 8 though; me, krinkels, and just about every other notable madness animator on newgrounds and beyond
CS3 compared to 8 sucks balls. Its an ok program but flash 8 is soo much better, anyone who is deciding to use flash should get 8. (ie my english teacher) whom i spent a whole lesson teaching basic flash principles to. lol he has CS3
